I think it’s one of the main questions about love and long-term relationships. How to you keep the passion alive? How do you maintain a certain level of excitement? How to do you make good sex last? This short film by Dave Laden shows how hard a couple tries to rekindle the fire…

After you’ve been with someone for years, you get into a routine, you know them perfectly, you see them brush their teeth and pee, you talk about cleaning the apartment and buying the groceries. Sex is wild, it’s contradictory to close it up into a safe environment, that’s why it can be really tricky for a couple to find their balance and keep enjoying each other as a couple and as sexual beings.

In this short, the couple have been together for 12 years. They apparently went to a counsellor to ask for advice and that’s why they’re wearing giant, animal heads… They say role-playing helps, but obviously not in all cases. These two are having trouble and that’s how the argument starts…

It’s not an explicit video per se, but I think it truly depicts the difficulties and all the trouble some couples go through to keep their relationship alive.
