My new film is here : Let’s Skip The Wedding

When I moved to Berlin, I didn’t know how I would handle shooting a new film, in a new city, with new people. I organized the shooting of a brand new film, which turned out to be one of the best shoots so far. The result is Let’s Skip The Wedding.

Let’s Skip The Wedding

Alexei Jackson and Lina Bembe embody the first part of the story, in a scene where they debate on going to a wedding. Obviously, they stay home and fuck. But that’s not all. The intimacy and passion between the two actors made this scene a truly awesome experience to shoot but also, I believe, a really cool, spontaneous scene.

My goal with this scene was to mix fiction and reality – you will see how – and also to show an authentic depiction of sex, or at least in a way that I experience it. Not everybody goes according to specific steps in sex. Sometimes, you can’t find a decent position. Sometimes, you’re on your period. Sometimes, you break things in the process. And that’s the beauty of it. That’s what makes a scene fun to watch and what allows me to personally relate to the characters.
