With Instagram, everybody is a photographer, and even though that might upset some people, I think it’s amazing that such a huge number of people are feeling this artistic vibe and upload their own photos to the web. People were already narcissistic before the digital age! The Internet is about democratisation. Of information. Of art. Of opportunities.

Instagram became a world-wide phenomenon. I use it sometimes, but let’s face it, I might be a feminist pornographer, but my life is not that fascinating. But let’s get back to our subject of interest. I discovered the Hipstamatic tumblr blog, where people can submit their lomo-style erotic selfies to the admin, who will select the best and publish them.

Lomo cameras have become very trendy too, along with the whole vintage trend. After a little bit of digging around, I found out that the lomo motto is basically “Don’t think, just shoot.”, which is pretty great, in my opinion. Most professional photography is really studied and laid out, whereas this offers a sense of spontaneity that erotica lacks in general.
