I was happy to discover the work of Robel Films, a production company that makes “arthouse movies with a genre twist!”. Their mission is to pursue some mangled truth, whether it be hidden in the dark, or blinded by the light. Their motto: Create. Curate! Check out two of their films, Elenore Makes Love and NSFW.
Elenore Makes Love
Directed by Ryan Balas, this film follows a photographer who meets a sexy model in a fancy hotel suite. We can see from the teaser that the two women have a connection, maybe a past together, and it really triggers my curiosity – among other things – to see what might happen between them. Starring Audrey Kovar and Deirdre Herlihy, this feature film is now in production, but you can already watch the teaser below…
It looks definitely sexy, cosy, sensual and authentic.

Again starring Audrey Kovar and Deirdre Herlihy, as well as Richard Buonagurio, NSFW revolves around the same Elenore, this time a nude Tumblr star, going through her relationship with a powerful business woman. Then, she meets Eugene, a happily married office guy. The two will begin a pseudo-sexual relationship with roleplaying and games, hovering on an anonymity born from a digitally-initiated relationship. Their bond will grow stronger as Elenore peels his shell and gets a peak into his real him.
